Shetland 2019

In July and August 2019 I visited Shetland. When you like broad landscapes, silence, birdwatching, sea life (Puffins!) and walking, it is the place to be. There are various place to go to linked the Hermaness national nature reserve on the isle of Ungst. You have the various Lighthouses: a nice one is the one island Muckle Flucca. Also in Scousburgh there is the very nice Viggie Hotel: the hosts are Chris and and his brother Paul, Chris’ wife and her daughter are very good cooks, so when you have the opportunity: go there to enjoy the “Room with a view” while having a lovely dinner. Also the Moorfield hotel has stunning views and was one of the locations where the television series “Shetland” was filmed.
